Vampy Fall

Published October 15, 2015 by sarahsmith1988

I am in love with the vampy style this fall, but I must say with my complexion and face shape I can not pull this off so well. I did however dug through the internet for some inspiration and jiggled up a number of video tutorial’s for some inspiration to create my own idea. Ideally I would of loved to of created my skin tone more paler and maybe applying the bronzer on a little darker to make the cheeks stand out and provide a more sharper detail, however I did not have the correct foundation in order to do this. So I created the foundation by mixing two foundations together. To create a different effect and shade to what I normally apply. product collage

After creating the base of eye shadow I then applied the cream colour from the contouring kit to highlight under the eyes, forehead, chin, upper lip and nose and blended well with a blending bud. I use the blending bud as I love the effect it creates when finished. The product looks more natural and can achieve a more even consistency of the product without streaks patches. I tend to use a dabbing motion rather then rubbing it in, it appears lighter and less of a caked on feel. Once highlighted I take the bronzer (MUA makeup artiste palette) and apply on my cheek bones, under the chin and down the sides of my nose, blending again with the blending bud.

Once I am happy with the white base I then applied stargazer “copper” into the creases and applied more till I created my desired effect and density of colour. I love stargazer shadows and must warn you to use a little as they are highly pigmented, they also stay put all day and dont bundge which is great! You can apply both wet and dry and the shadow stays put. If you apply wet though it really does stand out more in terms of sparkle and shimmer. I have never had a bad word said about stargazer products! They also do a lot of gothic style shades, so perfect for this Fall fashion trends you can find their website here www.stargazer-products.com

At the moment they have a fantastic range of Halloween products and ideas you must check out if Halloween is your thing!

I then applied moodstruck precision eye liner “perfect” across the eye line and then took the “Pristine” shade and applied it into the inner corners of my eye and lower corner of tear duct and blended gently! I love the moodstruck precision pencil range both eye and lip liners due to their long lasting wearing. They apply very easily and smoothly, they are also waterproof, strong in colour and provide a very good range of colours you can check these out here www.youniqueproducts.com/sarahsmith1988

To complete the look I applied a little sparkle to the inner corners of my eyes with Barry m dazze dust No 27 it is a white shimmer and adds perfect finish to any look! The product if dabbed on creates very little mess and does stay put! So you dont have to worry about shimmer all over your face and clothes.

What I did notice about the vampy look is big wow lashes. Since I am yet to learn how to apply false lashes and can never get the hang of it I use moodstruck 3D fiber Plus mascara! This mascara is a cheat version to false lashes as they create the illusion of long lashes very well. Double the coat and they appear bigger! its a product you have to try to see for yourself just how amazing it is for when your in a rush, or simply just dont get on with false lashes!! ATT_1444856616849_IMAG0781

For the lips I used moodstruck precision lip liner in “pompous” Which is a burgundy/red wine shade and it glides on smoothly with no problems, it is a bit stubborn to rub off! But that works in your favour when your wearing it as it does not budge! not for anything! I covered most of my lip in the liner and then applied the lipstick Sleek Makeup true colour lipstick in Mulberry! This lipstick is very moisturizing it is almost wet when applied and once you blot it does leave a nice matte finish, it lasts a long time, I only had to re apply once. Very highly pigmented and perfect for vampy lips! I purchased this product from eBay best price £3.90 free shipping! I also purchased another shade “Cherry” which is also a very nice colour for fall trend.

To complete entire look I finished off the brows, by applying eye pencil and brow plumper to make them look fuller!

(Please excuse my night top! I did this late at night haha)

More Fall 2015 Trend spotting

Published September 12, 2015 by sarahsmith1988

I have been spending some time searching for the beauty trends of Fall/Winter 2015 so I can start getting together my make up collection and try these trends, needless to say I am looking forward to trying some of these trends out!

After a while spent researching I found that a popular trend for Fall/Winter 2015 is the “barely there make up” or in other natural. Even the thought of hardly any make up, or going natural worries me. I like the dramatic looks, looks that really make me stand out from the crowd. I like to be bold and daring! So it is the healthy complexion that is clean, clear and under control. Here I am looking into a mirror thinking ok, I have the skin care products required for this, and made a vow to myself to stick to a good skin care routine, preferable one that does not add hours to my wake up make up ritual I already have. The best products I find that work incredibly well are my illuminate clear and divine daily moisturizer. Quick to apply and dont leave my hands feeling greasy afterwards. I also must not forget my trusted beloved glorious face and eye primer. So a quick face wash with my illuminate clear and add a dash of divine topped off with face and eye primer and I am good to go, works within days! Happy bunny! CLEAR FACIAL SHOP

Going all natural looks playfully sweet when combined with thick brows, add the luminous skin, natural eyes and matte lips is the perfect combination to bring forward a more earthly chic, add a little pink blush and your natural beauty will be enhanced.

Swooping cat eyes, as well as the straight lines, defines the eyes and the you can play around with the thickness for more dramatic looks. Thinner lines create a more subtle look, just enough to make your eyes stand out a little but without been over the top. I love the swooping cat eyes drawn on thin to go with the natural look. The lines are so subtle but creates a huge difference. face and eye primer

I did discover in my finding’s that as well as the natural look, we also have a complete opposite look, I’m talking big, bold, colourful and strong. It is all 1960’s 1990’s and 1980’s all rolled into together to create interesting combinations to give us the best out of those decades. Bold and twiggy lashes! These are lashes that have been separated into clumps, this has been a sitting trend mainly since Spring/Summer 2015. Twig lashes look fantastic with mega over the top liner creating a mod vibe that does stand out from the rest. The clumpy mascara can also look pretty sophisticated with a bit of a bed head style hair, giving the look of rocker/punk. or, try pairing the twiggy lashes with strong red lips, whilst keeping the rest of the face nude and clean!

Again with the lips trend this Fall/Winter 2015 seems to be opposites, there is the trend for reds/plums but also a nude look. I love the bolder lips rather then the nude’s and therefore not really experimented with nude colours. But this Fall I shall be trying out different nude shades and seeing what works best. Nude colours lessen the definition of the lips overall and made to look matte.  Stiff upper lip is the best product for a perfect matte look, and also comes in a range of colours to suit the subtle pinks to the berry reds. Adding black feline flicks with the nude lips works magic!

Eye pigment packaging

This Fall/Winter 2015 takes a fun approach to eye colours also, as the exotic rainbow eyes takes its position. I love playing with colours and blending them in together and creating my own wild versions of rainbow eyes, moodstruck mineral pigments have a large selection of high pigment colours to choose from! it is hard not to want them all! They are easy blendable therefore I have a lot of fun with these! I also tend to mix colours together to create a theme, such as sunset or colours like an exotic birds feathers.
